Little somethings for a little lady

My friends John and Abby Gjertsen, after years of infertility, miscarriages and three adorable boys, are expecting their first baby girl. You can read more about their journey on their blog: http://www.houseofgjertsen.info 

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing! I have had my eye on Susan B. Anderson's adorable sweater and hat set for years, ever since seeing it in Kathy's former knit shop in Warsaw, Indiana. The pattern is called Flower and Cardigan and Hat Set and it's in her book Itty-Bitty Nursery. I looked up other projects on Ravelry.com and decided to change the i-cord tassel end to a leaf. 

Very cute, if I may say so myself.

Now, just to wait for her to be born...
